Loose Lead Walking

Loose Lead Walking Foundations is a five-week course designed to help you and your dog enjoy calmer, more comfortable walks without pulling, frustration, or constant stopping.

This course focuses on teaching loose lead walking as a skill, not a behaviour that dogs should automatically know. We look at why dogs pull, how the environment affects walking behaviour, and how your own movement, timing, and equipment choices influence what happens on walks.

You’ll learn practical training games, clear walking patterns, and realistic strategies for everyday situations, all taught using reward-based, force-free methods.

This course is suitable for dogs of any age, including dogs who have been pulling on the lead for a long time.

Loose Lead Walking Foundations is about progress, not perfection, and helping walks feel calmer for both ends of the lead.

Ideal for:

  • Dogs who pull, zigzag, or struggle to focus on walks

  • Owners who feel frustrated or overwhelmed on walks

  • Anyone wanting calmer, more enjoyable outdoor time

Classes last for one hour, run by an experienced, qualified dog trainer.
